8th Annual West Newbury Summer Festival
August 8, 8:00-1:30, West Newbury VT.
This year's festival celebrates the "Red, White, and Blue," with all proceeds supporting the West Newbury Community Hall and its Elevator Fund.
All events except those on Tucker Mtn. are within walking distance of each other. Park in the field south of the church or opposite Tyler Farm.
The event schedule:
8:00 AM: Opening: Morning Treats, Silent Auction, White Elephant (Hall). Red, White & Blue Exhibit (church). Register for Tucker Mtn. 5K Fun Run (east parking lot).
8:30 Vendors open, candidates circulating.
8:30 AM: Tucker Mountain 5K Fun Run starts.
9:00-1:30: Cornerstones of Democracy: 250 Years of Education in Newbury at the Newbury Historical Society's one-room schoolhouse.
10:30 AM: The Red, White, & Blue Parade, led by the Summertime Marching Band.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Children's games (behind the church).
11:30 AM: Picnic under the tent featuring live music by Counting by Sevens; pulled pork, coleslaw, corn on the cob, watermelon and drinks.
12:00-1:30 Just Desserts by local bakers (Hall).
1:30 West Newbury Summer Festival Silent Auction; bidding closes Winners not present will be notified.
A day of incredible, something-for-everyone-almost-larger-than-life.

Admission: $20 suggested donation. Tickets will be available at the door. All proceeds support the Music Helps mission.
Music Helps presents Patrick Ross (fiddle, mandolin, cello) and Doug Perkins (guitar), live at the West Newbury Town Hall! Come for our annual celebration of Music Helps and listen to Patrick and Doug light up the stage with their talent, skill, and harmonies. These two musicians have toured all over the state and country together and always put on a fantastic show.
Refreshments will be available from Bakestere by Molly Sharp, of Haverhill, NH (www.bakestere.com)
